CHEC High School Graduation Requirements

Graduation Requirements & Parent Responsibility

CHEC’s high school graduation requirements are established independently by CHEC and may differ from the admission, eligibility, graduation, or program requirements established by colleges, universities, state or county agencies, scholarship programs, athletic organizations, military programs, trade or technical schools, or other institutions.

Meeting CHEC’s graduation requirements does not guarantee that a student has satisfied the requirements for admission to, participation in, or eligibility for any future college, university, scholarship, career, athletic, military, or other post-secondary opportunity.

Because requirements vary by institution and program and may change over time, parents and guardians are ultimately responsible for researching, monitoring, and ensuring that their student completes any additional courses, credits, testing, service hours, prerequisites, documentation, or other requirements necessary for the student’s future educational or career goals.

CHEC may provide general guidance and support when available; however, CHEC cannot guarantee compliance with the requirements of outside institutions or programs and is not responsible for requirements that a student has not completed or for changes to requirements established by outside entities.
