CHEC Student Ambassadors

The Student Ambassador Program is a distinguished leadership opportunity designed for students in grades 6th-12th who demonstrate character, responsibility, initiative, and a heart for service. This program will represent the highest standard of leadership within CHEC, and participation is both an honor and a commitment. Acceptance into the program is by invitation only.

Program Highlights
​
CHEC Student Ambassadors will:

Receive a free ticket to Student Leadership University events (blazers required)
-
Have leadership roles in school operations, including carline
-
Be the first considered for certain student job opportunities
-
Conduct campus tours
-
Organize and lead major student events such as the Onyx Dance, including coordinating vendors and volunteers (for upperclassmen)
-
Participate in two team bonding trips per year
-
Have opportunities for additional educational leadership trips (parent-funded add-ons)
-
Join a monthly leadership book club with group discussions
-
Develop and manage fundraising initiatives for team trips and excursions
-
Engage meaningfully in charity work and community impact initiatives (service and fundraising are foundational to leadership and networking)

Program Expectations & Commitments
​
To ensure excellence and professionalism, Student Ambassadors must:

Be available and willing to attend all major school events
-
Commit to attending 2–3 outreach events annually to represent CHEC
-
Serve in active roles during Meet the Teacher Day and other campus events
-
Participate in Leadership Day the week before school begins at the Opal Hotel
-
Attend a monthly meeting at 7:30 AM (blazers required), with blazers worn to school once a month on Thursdays

Maintain high academic and behavioral standards, including:
-
No discipline write-ups
-
A stricter limit on uniform violations
-
Adherence to elevated appearance standards (hair, piercings, grooming) beyond the general student handbook​
